“Very nice looking beam, well shaped and beautiful colour. However, if I was choosing from a range of beams I may not have chosen this one as there is a fairly significant crack running through the centre of the visible side. It's not hugely unattractive, but does make me wonder about the longer term integrity of the beam. Very easy to install though, providing you follow the instructions.”

Hi Alex, thanks for your review. We are pleased to hear you are happy with the shape, character and colour of your beam. Our beams have been well air dried for between 3-5 years. Cracks are to be expected from air dried oak, it is the nature of the product and should not effect the structural integrity of the beam.
