“Great piece of wood great cut and great colour. I bought a 6X6 by 4ft and there’s only one thing that concerns me is the cracks, now I know that is what makes oak stand out from the rest and hopefully with age it’s changes but the cracks are quite large compared to when I first got it but it’s not a problem I still love the way it looks and the colour and cut only all I’m saying is that I’ve already noticed a difference in the crack sizes since it’s been fitted within the last month. It came really quick and got all the necessary fixings, was easy to install just make sure you have a second pair of hands as it’s quite heavy to lift”

Hello Chris, Thank you for the review. It is lovely to hear the you're happy with how the beam is now looking, Yes the cracks will change as it first acclimatises to room temperature with it being a natural product and air dried outside so it is completely normal.

Hello Tracey, I am disappointed to hear you are not happy with your beam. We try to be as transparent as possible when it come to what we are selling. Each beam is a natural product and varies in regards to knots, cracks and grain. We also try to put plenty of photos online so you can see the type of variation that the beam may have. However if the beam was sent out with a crack that is considered excessive we would certainly be happy to look into this for you.
