Based on looks alone, this kettle would be a 5*, but the design of the lid is shocking. There are gaps at the back of the lid, which allow steam to escape very close to the handle. You have to keep your thumb well tucked in when pouring to avoid being scalded, and the lid and handle get covered in condensate. Customer services were very unhelpful and said it's a "design feature" and refused to exchange! I wouldn't buy this kettle again.
