I looked at a number of lawnmower models from different manufacturers before deciding to buy a Makita. I have not been dissapointed. The mower arrived well packaged. I had to assemble the handle which was straightforward using the simple instructions and spanners supplied. The four batteries were pre charged so I didn't have to wait long to reach full charge. Again good instructions for how to slot in the batteries in the charger and what the sequence of charging lights meant. Then later onto cutting the lawn. The mower worked well and gave a good cut finish. I hadn't appreciated that the rotary blade and the drive were on two separate controls. Once that became obvious everything went well and I managed to cut a 300m2 lawn in about 30 minutes. Battery wise, I managed the complete lawn using two batteries which were down to a quarter left on the indicator. Height of cut was easy to adjust but if you are looking for a very close cut you will be limited to around 25mm which was fine for our garden. The mower is quite heavy but very sturdy with build quality up to the usual high Makita standard. I am very pleased with my new mower.
