This is my first battery mower, so i didnt know what to expect. I bought it bc i already had makita gear. Its nice and quiet, the bag fills up nicely without anything clogging and the mulching works well too. So far i have only cut dry summer grass on a medium height, which wouldnt tax any decent mower. It will just about cut rough grass/weeds/scrub if you take it easy as it only has 36v to play with. I wasnt expecting it to be a monster and it isnt. It is, however, very civilised, quiet and pleasant to use. I have a 0.45 acre plot so deduct a bungalow off that and thats how much lawn i have. It consumes 2x3ah batteries per lawn, so i have bought 2x5ah batteries, do the front lawm and top up the batteries and have a cup of tea then do the back lawn. The batteries get quite warm but i assume this is normal as they get warm whilst doing diy. Self propel function is geared to the wheels so if you activate it whilst moving, it stops dead in its tracks then accelerates upto desired speed. My old petrol was belt druven and it smoothly added torq without fuss. All in all i am satisfied but still adjusting to it. Nice and quiet, no fumes, no servicing.
