“I needed a saw to log all the firewood I had brought back to the house. This Makita was everything I had hoped for. Compared to the Husky petrol saw I had previously been using this one was lighter, much quieter, cleaner and in general safer to use. The capacity of the oil tank is a pain on some electric saws, but not this one. A tank of oil outlasts my Husky petrol saw. So far I have managed to cut 3 - 4 tons of logs without the undue noise and fumes I used to make with the petrol saw. I was initially a little hesitant to move to an electric saw but my worries were unfounded. This Makita is well designed and constructed, I have found no bad points so far. From now on the petrol saw will only be used in the woods where there is no electric.”
