This is such a hard colour to get right and we have had various shades made but I think this is definitely the best yet. As you have said it is very versatile and is such a different shade to wear but can really stand out against dark and light trousers. We hope you continue to enjoy wearing them. Kind Regards Ann

“Distinctive and unique color. It looked more dark gray from a distance, so I used some yellow wax polish to bring out more of the green tones. Now, the color more closely matches the olive belt I also purchased from Thomas Bird. The toe is a little more pointed than the typical dress shoes I purchase, but this shoe is obviously meant to be more of a specialty look. It definitely adds more visual impact to a charcoal or a navy blue suit without drawing unnecessary attention to itself. I was impressed with how quickly I received the shoes. I live in the United States and ordered the shoes on a Sunday night; I received them Thursday afternoon. I definitely will purchase more shoes from Thomas Bird.”

“Well, the color did seem a bit greyish to me, but a few application of yellow wax polish took care of that, and the shoes elicited spontaneous compliments from perfect strangers on their first outing, so… Indeed they are very well made, the leather is fine, the look very elegant in a sharp, urban way, and they are quite comfortable: a very satisfactory purchase.”
