“I've been a total fan of IoW tomatoes for ages but things have really dropped off this year. From the beginning to the end of the season the selection has been exactly the same and, though I've no idea what varieties are being used, they have all had tougher skins. What felt like a small, artisanal concern now feels like something far closer to the top range supermarket offerings (in fact, at one point this year, my local Waitrose had IoW branded tomatoes on the shelves). I cancelled my subscription early this year because I felt like the season was stretching on too long (and the skins were getting even more leathery). I'm sad to say that I can't see any value in paying the premium next year and subscribing for home delivery. It feels like I'll be better off taking my chances with what's available locally. It'll be more varied in terms of quality... but also in variety. I'm really sorry. I love the company and and really enjoyed its offering for years... but it feels like things changed this year.”
