Hello Vernon, thank you for liking the idea behind these, to try them. They are dried out to transport. But should become more malleable the more they are used. To speed this process up, just pop it in the washing machine.

Rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up. The sponges will become softer upon continued use with washing-up liquid. They will also soften up with usage, so the longer you use it, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times. They can also take a little time to get used to, as they do feel different from the plastic sponges that we have all been used to.
