“My first scourer is lasting the course. Feels comfy to use and does the job. Abrasiveness is softer than normal sponge scourers on the market but works well enough with a bit of extra effort. Sterilising with boiling water seems to work okay.”

“I recently bought the bamboo sponge scourers and cloths (April 2024). I have only tried the sponges so far in the past 2 weeks and, although I like the eco credentials, my first sponge is already falling apart, so that is a disappoitnement. And I seem to be using extra washing up liquid as this sponge does not create as much suds as the plastic ones everyone already uses. Final comment is that the bamboo sponge is a bit stiffer than plastic ones, so bending it to get into some corners or small spaces is more tricky. Maybe that is something that product development can look at and address.”

Sorry that you are not enjoying our loofah sponge scourers, we fine that trying these tips when you first start with your sponge really helpful as the sponge scourers need to be dried out before they can be packaged and dispatched out to customers.
Rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up, the sponges will become more soft upon continued use with washing up liquid. They will also soften up with usage so the longer you use it for, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times and air dry them when they come out.
