“I have never bought insurance online before .The experience was so easy. The process was exactly what i was looking for i would definitely recommend this company.Very very competitive.”
“The insurance maybe reasonable and easy to arrange but when people make claims about alleged accidents they are not interested in listening to your side of the story and dismiss it as probably easier to settle claim without investigating the claims properly, and therefore would not recommend this insurance or renew next time
Very disappointed with service

“Getting documentation took several phone calls & emails. Staff were telling me they had dealt with the issue and had clearly not. Frustrating company to do business with, would think twice in the future about renewing with them.”
“I got better results with The Van Insurer than with any other comparison site for insuring my work pickup. Far fewer irrelevant questions too. Would use again next year.”
“I followed the link for 'Any Driver' van insurance, and the price quoted by Autonet on The Van Insurer website seemed very reasonable. I received a call from Autonet, who took all of the details I had just provided again. They then quoted me twice the original displayed price. I told them this was not the quote I had received online, and they told me it's because I have selected the 'Any Driver' policy. I informed them that this was the link I followed before getting my original quote, but was made to feel like I was a bit stupid for expecting it to actually cover any driver for that price. Perhaps this is a miscommunication between The Van Insurer website and their brokers, or perhaps Autonet use the lower price as bait to get people on the phone.
I'm quite disappointed in myself that I didn't shop around after this, but I'd just taken delivery of a new van and needed to use it. I had spoken to a couple of other brokers earlier in the day and they could not cover me for what I wanted, so I persisted with Autonet. I have motor trade insurance history, so getting this converted in to actual no claims was difficult, but in the end I was told it was possible if I could provide various pieces of documentation. I had one week to do this.
What I eventually settled on was a policy that covers two drivers with no third party coverage on any other vehicles. This cost me around the same amount as I had originally been quoted for an Any Driver policy with zero no claims, even though I now had eight years to my name. I also have to have a little black box taped to the inside of my windscreen that regularly falls off, then texts you to say it's fallen off. The text states that the box needs to be replaced or you run the risk of having your policy cancelled. This is all rather distracting when you're trying to operate a motor vehicle. A couple of times I have found myself scooting across the seats at traffic lights, trying to stick the box back to the screen before the lights change.
I was asked if I would like to pay the policy in full or by instalments. I replied that instalments would be easier as long as the price wasn't too much more. I was then signed up to a finance agreement which, when looking at the paperwork, was going to cost an extra £117 on top of my policy. Yes, the individual payments were listed to me verbally, but after nearly an hour on the phone I didn't do the maths very well in my head. At no point did anyone say "this will cost you an extra £117". I cancelled the finance agreement and paid the premium in full, but this was another couple of phone calls I needed to make.
I received an email as the first week of cover was coming to an end stating that Autonet had not received the documentation relating to my no claims. I had sent it to them (by e-mail) after a couple of days. The email stated that my policy was in danger of being cancelled. I called Autonet to see what the problem was, and they confirmed that they had received all the documents they needed. Again, this was another call I did not feel I should have had to make.
As one final point, Autonet tried to sell me some sort of additional accident insurance when I signed up for my policy. I don't really go for that kind of thing so politely declined, only for them to call back a couple of days later trying to sell me the same thing again.
All in all, a frustrating experience. Or perhaps it's just me.”
