“The 850 Kg bag of stone I received as part of my first order was covered in a light layer of dust which washed off to reveal polar white stone - 5 stars.
The second bag (separate order) was covered in a heavy layer of grey dust and was contaminated with small particles of black stone. I washed the stone in a wheelbarrow, prior to laying it, and emptied the unusable chippings / fragments of stone into a plasterers bucket, which is now full - Approx 50 - 60 Kg.
I feel that this is excessive when compared to the minimal wastage from the first bag I received. I also wasted 100's of litres of water in trying to separate the usable stone from the resulting sludge.
Now laid, the stone looks as expected, but took a lot longer than it should have done to get there.”
Thanks for the product review, with everything being naturally quarried the product can arrive with an element of product dust still on it but as you say once rinsed this disperses easily. Apologies though we don't have a product washing facility on site.
