“Coltrane Clay is the best clay product I have used to date. Rough Rider from Kevin Murphy and Claymation from Hanz de Fuko are still great options, but are oil based. This clay has great hold and longevity while still being water based. Best water based clay I have used. I would say it is a stronger hold than your average “medium” hold clay and just as strong as most oil based clays I have used. I use it on slightly more damp hair and it dries or sets perfectly. Can be used on longer hair as well. Triumph and Disaster have great products, but usually over priced, yet their hair styling line is not far from the average price of other premium brands, so I would highly recommend this clay.”
