“First time using hornbeam. It burns well ,a bit slower than the oak which we have previously used, bot still gives out a good heat. The logs arrived promptly and were well packed and dry.”

“Sorry guys, I really don't like to moan but, the last delivery of kiln-dried HornBeam had so many small scrappy pieces that were more akin to kindling wood in size, that the crate really was not good value for money. In fairness, the delivery was faultless and the new size crates are a big improvement. The fact that they are screwed together and not nailed makes disassembly very easy. Mine is being rebuilt again and repurposed as a store. The logs themselves burn really nicely but we are constantly having to restock the multi-fuel stove because they don't last. Consequently, we are having to restock well ahead of schedule.”

“Very efficient as usual just trying out the Hornbeam logs and they are very good similar to Ash & Beech very happy the heat output and slow burn, may consider ordering Hornbeam again, very pleased”

“Hornbeam is a nice firewood and this was nice and dry but the mix in the pallet contained far too much of the small stuff, not sticks, but overly split logs...lots of 'slivers'! I fed back my comments and was offered a small discount on next purchase. Nice wood but not cheap...or luxury.”
