“First time I have used these guys for my fish as my usual supplier was not able to supply this year due to staffing problems. I chose based on great reviews from various online areas. Couldn’t fault the delivery, packaging and communication they were all first class. However the fish wasn’t as good as expected with regards texture or flavour, some quite hard edges that needed to be removed and parts of the fish quite chewy rather than the silky smooth melt in the mouth I was expecting, also the strips differed in thickness quite considerably within the 2 packs. Flavouring was acceptable although on the very mild side. I think The Fish Society run a pretty slick operation and I would use again based on this hoping my recent order downfall on quality could have been down to just an ‘off piece’. It happens.”
