Some of them were already defrosted when they arrived. The parcel was received straight way upon delivery.

Plenty supplied and extremely tasty. Preparation takes a while what with the flouring and the limited amount you are able to cook at one time. It's about twenty-five years since I last had whitebait as supermarkets don't seem to sell them and we don't have any local fishmongers. Since finding your business on line, I've placed two orders and I must admit I am very impressed with the quality of the product, hopefully I will shortly place my third order.

Amazing flavour, I’m not the biggest fan that they came from the Indian Ocean/ South Asia because those oceans and seas tend to be polluted, but they are really delicious and crispy even without any flour.

Haven't tried the breaded whitebait yet, but i'm afrad that the classic whole wild whitebait was rather a disappointment. They were tiny, the majority maybe 2-3cms at most. We have a deep fat fryer, which was one of the cooking options on the pack. However, after only 2-3 mins, we took them out. They were almost tasteless, as there was so little flesh on them. As whitebait fans, we expected crispy skin and soft flesh inside, but in fact there was hardly anything inside the skin. We'll certainly try the breaded whitebait and i'll let you know. To end on a positive point, we also had the mussels, which along with the sauce were pretty good, although a bit on the small side!
