The Knot-a-Collar by Ruffwear is a unique take on the average dog collar, perfect for all your outdoor ventures. It’s designed with a low profile 7mm rope with reflective trim that settles comfortably into the fur, and with the sliding fisherman knots it's easily adjustable to your dog's shape. The single piece anodized aluminium V-ring provides a secure lead attachment point while the Quick Ring™ also makes for easy attaching to your dog. The addition of the reflective graphic improves visibility for those night-time walks too. Simply hand wash, hang to dry and you're ready for another adventure.

This purchase was a replacement for the exact same item which our lab has had since a puppy. New puppy had chewed parts of the original so I thought it looked scruffy. Older labrador (5years) looking very smart now. We like the way the collar sits with the lead attachment ring on the upper side. Also, don't think it's as rough on the neck fur as a standard collar. I'll be ordering another soon for the newest pup.

I love this collar, the simplicity of design, the outdoor (climbing) aesthetic, the elegance, the fact that the lead attachment point remains accessible at the back of the neck (due to the heavier weight of the chest plate/double rope/knots hanging under the throat), the fact that except for this attachment point the collar is by-and-large invisible on a dog with relatively deep pile fur, the fact that you can just slip it over the nose/head, that fact that it stays on due to the fact that a dog's fur is aligned towards the tail, the fact that it contains reflective threads & shows up at night, it's all good ! I had thought that the knots might possibly have been uncomfortable but they get lost in the folds of the neck, no quibbles from either of the two working black labs I've used this collar on. The only criticism I can currently think of is it might not be the best option for dogs which pull a lot on the lead, you'd probably want a wider collar, but I don't have a problem in this department. I've taken off the dangly clip & rubber tag 'silencer' as I don't like extraneous stuff on collars, too much likely to get snagged in undergrowth. I've considered getting a friend to cast copies of the two metal plates out of brass, etching name/phone no, etc. on the chest plate. And if/as/when the cord wears out, you can just replace with some similar diameter/pliable climbing cord & replicate the knots. Love it, happy bunny! ✨
