“I had previously ordered a Spark SP1 regular from a different company but for someone 1.82 m tall, shoe size 42 and quite normal built it was too tight - especially if one wanted to extend the seasonal usage with either a liner or just by wearing puffer trousers and jacket inside the bag. With few long versions of the SP1 on sale around, I ended up with this SPII long. Definitely roomy enough even with puffer outfit and, even testing at home, warmer. 4 stars only, because I cannot quite work out why SP1 and SP2 only have these short zips (3 and 4 have got longer ones) as while mountain hiking, one night you are in a valley where it is warm and all you need is a duvet type and the next night you are on the pass and need to close it more. I have already ordered a 60 cm zip (which is only 7 g more) to add, leaving a bit of a foot box. And getting in and out with the present zip is a lot more cumbersome than the extra few grams are in weight.”
