At about the half way point in the course, I've found the information provided and the structure of the course to be easy to navigate and providing usefully information. The class example videos are particularly helpful to see everything in action. I also appreciate the personal feedback on the written assignments.

The in-person Zoom classes with a teacher and other students were absolutely fantastic!! The information provided in the online modules is very helpful and informative. I am finding the information and theory provided by the online modules are really helping me with my tutoring sessions. The additional teaching resources provided are a huge help as well. The 1st written assignment is completely and utterly demotivating. It is asking me to define terms that were not covered in the course and that I have never used or encountered before. When I try and research what these mean, I get results that are not at all related to TEFL or even teaching in general. They seem really important to this course and I would like to learn what they mean and how they are applicable to teaching English. I have spent over 4 hours on this first assignment and have so far written absolutely nothing, all I do is stare at the screen and wonder what the heck am I supposed to do with this. I reached out to my tutor for help and the response I received is "don't spend too much time on it". I kind of feel like this assignment in particular is a bit of a pointless exercise. I am also having trouble finding out any information about the "TQUK" qualifications. I have never heard of it before and the school I work as a tutor with has never heard of this qualification either. When I research other organizations involved with TEFL/TESOL, TQUK is never mentioned. This course is VERY UK-centric and I have had a bit of difficulty understanding the language used and the accents presented. This is more of an observation than a criticism, I am generally able to continue learning the topics despite this.

Hi Mark, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled that you enjoyed our virtual classes and that our online modules are helping with your tutoring sessions! I'm sorry to hear about the issues you have had with the first assignment. I will pass on your feedback regarding this to our team to look into further. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to your tutor again to explain your concerns further as I am sure they will help with this. You can find out more about TQUK here: https://www.tefl.org/blog/tefl-hours-and-levels-explained/ Here you will see that they are a UK based awarding body along with more detailed information. As a UK based company, our team and tutors are also primarily from or based in the UK, so all of our videos will feature members of our team. I hope this helps with some of your queries but please feel free to reach out to us at info@tefl.org with any more questions or comments you may have. In the meantime, best of luck with your course! Debbie

The courses have been great so far. The objectives and material are thoroughly presented. A few technical difficulties with videos arose but were manageable and minimal.

Dear Alan, I am be happy to send you a feedback. I learned quite a lot already thanks to the online classroom and the tutor, Simon, and from the modules I've already finished. But because I am not completely finished yet, I'm only giving 3 stars out of 5. I will be able to update my review and adjust my evaluation after I finish the entire course. For the moment, all I can say is that the course is explanatory enough so we understand easily what is expected of a TEFL teacher. At the moment, I don't have any regret about choosing this course. However, I do think the "telephone course" module should be updated. What's more, and that is the thing I had the most trouble as of now, instructions for the Methodology Unit 1 assignment should be revised : the instructions are confusing and I saw in the forum that I'm not only one to think this. For example, we have to write a few words about each item but the line "Please make sure you cover all the points, thanks" is included in the example ; I only understood after asking for help to my tutor and submitting my essay a first time that this line was directed at us and not included in the example. Maybe, it could be worth adding a couple of precisions. As for my tutor, Denise, I find her to be really helpful. Kind Regards, Mathilde F.

I couldn't access the online class sessions, so now I'm unsure of what to do. However, the course is interesting and my teacher is very friendly and always marks work promptly
