“These were purchased to replace a pair of Microlab speakers connected to a flatscreen TV. The difference in sound given out by the Edifier speakers is huge, the bass is controlled without being "bouncy" the treble is sweet, but the real difference is that the sound from the TV can easily be heard anywhere in the room without having to have the volume turned up to a high level. I'm very pleased with these speakers.”

“Had these about a week. Sounded brilliant for the price, much better than I’d expected. After about 4 days the active speaker of the pair started to sound awful, muffled, as if a towel had been placed over it. I was tempted to ask for a replacement due to the quality sound they produced originally, but I veered away because I’d be worried they failed when they were out of warranty. K&B audio were very helpful at sorting a refund. Ordered a pair of Q Acoustics M20s instead, which are proving great so far”

Hi Jack, thanks for buying from us, we very very rarely get faults with the R1280DB (or Edifier in general to be honest) so my apologies that yours were faulty (we also tested and confirmed fault) - we'd typically replace them within 24 hours with a new pair but thanks for buying the M20's from us instead.
