“Paid extra for next day delivery and took 4 days to arrive, missing the birthday it was a present for. Telephoned for a refund and there's a recorded message on the main switchboard asking you not to get cross with their staff which suggests to me this happens a lot.”

Dear James, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed delivery and the disappointment this caused—especially as the item was intended as a birthday gift. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after paying extra for next day delivery. Unfortunately, the delay was due to an error at the local DPD depot, which was outside of our direct control. That said, we’re very sorry for the impact it had on your plans. We can confirm that the postage fee for the next day delivery has been fully refunded. While this doesn’t undo the inconvenience, we hope it goes some way towards acknowledging the situation. We are required to play this message at the beginning of calls to help protect our staff. It’s certainly a shame that it’s necessary, as our team is always here to assist and support our customers. “This knife is a gift for my daughter and is very similar to one I had in my teens. It was very difficult to choose which to buy as there are so many excellent options. I'm pleased to say the quality is just as good as my old knife.”
