“The Spartan is one of my favorite Swiss Army Knives. I have a couple of them. Its the model I buy as a spare knife and the occasional present. Its the model I bought for my Grandson. The Spartan is a vey useful knife to have in your pocket or bag. I bought this particular Limited Edition Onyx version to add to my small collection and won't be using it as I believe use or sharpening would remove the Black coating on the steel and wouldn't look as nice as it does brand new. I would recommend buying one, even if you don't use it. Its handy to have and as a Limited Edition might actually increase in value when they are no longer available. Would make a very nice gift.”

“At 3 times the price of the regular Spartan, you would expect the black coating to be durable. Already is starting to come off after just a month of light use.”
