“The knife itself is great quality. However the black blade arrived with minor scratches on it.”

“i purchased it along with the BS equivalent, to have two different blade profiles for outdoor, craft and emergency use, I am a medic, as well as back-up to a fixed blade (and when not using the fixed blade)and other tools. I have found them easy to open, and to close safely, and the handle profile is perfect for my hand, the belt clip is useful and its great that it can be removed, giving options, I usually use a universal belt pouch, and options are always a bonus and selling point. Both are great all-round tools, and highly recommended. My only negative is that being Alox they are cold to the hand which might be a problem in severe winter conditions, and i would like to see versions with the rubberised (various colours) grip scales for insulation. Very much like the Soldier in green/black which i also have Victorinox are always my choice and i have other models which i use all the time, and in my survival and emergency kit, including the one handed orange XT, and the Red-Black models with twin lock-blades. Being a medic i am looking at the Rescue Tool for the next acquisition.”
