“Good service from Sweatband when purchasing this trainer. The manual it came with was in Italian, but the pictures are clear enough to put it together and this was done in a couple of hours at a steady pace. It feels very solid and looks good. Unfortunately, when going to plug it in to try it out I discovered that the power adapter was a European one, hence the Italian manual I guess. On to Sweatband but had to wait a couple of days as it was Saturday and they forwarded my request to iFit. I'll get a new adapter in 7-10 days! Managed to find a converter to use for now. Signed up for iFit which could be set out better in the app but works well and gives that encouragement. However, when the app fails like last night you have to go manual. Tried to use the onboard workouts but nowhere could I find what each of the 19 did or what the profile was so no idea of their intensity or times which is annoying. There's nothing in the manuals or the websites. Emailed iFit and the response today is that I'll have to go through each of them to work it out myself! That is why this is not getting 5 stars, to me that is not very good, surely they must know what each workout is supposed to do. Anyway, the machine works well with iFit as it did this morning thankfully, it's well made, easy to put together and pretty quiet.”

“We had a John Lewis cross trainer which we were happy with but weren’t able to get repaired when the display broke. It was difficult to find a replacement during lockdown so I was very pleased when I found the ProForma 525 CSE+. The assembly instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. The cross trainer performs very well, is very quiet and feels very stable. I would definitely recommend it.”

“An engaging piece of equipment that’s robust and not particularly hard to assemble. It seems well built and is nice and sturdy so I’m expecting a good number of years of use out of it. I’m 5’ 11” and weigh 84kg so bought this to shed a bit of weight and get fit - and I think it’s going to do that. It’s very comfortable so I don’t dread getting on it and the console is easy to use with a good few different programs built-in. It’s quiet as well and when my breathing gets loud and heavy (as it always does on this machine) I can hear only myself but nothing from the elliptical. The speakers are really not great but hey ho I can overlook that and will just stick to my headphones. Overall I’m giving this 5 stars, even with the less than brilliant speakers, as it’s doing a great job for me and has ticked literally all of the boxes. It’s comfortable, does it’s job, is built well and, importantly for a miser like me, didn’t break the bank!”
