Treat your interior or exterior to the best heating there is, with a superb Mirrorstone infrared bar heater. Efficient, eco-friendly, and far more practical than central heating, infrared heating is a true revolution. This particular bar heater measures approximately 862mm by 345mm, and, with a power output of 1000w, can heat an area of around 15m2. With a depth of just 272mm, you don’t need to worry about this heater sticking out too much, especially since it can be installed high up on the wall, or even on the ceiling. In terms of build quality, you have no need to worry. This panel is constructed from glass and aluminium, which both look highly professional, and feel sturdy. Whilst the heater can reach a surface temperature of around 200-300˚C, hotter than a traditional radiator, it will not be an issue. That’s because it can be installed well out of reach, either high up on the wall, or even on the ceiling. This means that accidental touches should be kept to a minimum. The heater comes with an IP44 rating, so it is protected against any accidental splashes of water. However, if it is installed outside, we recommend that it be under a cover, in case of any heavy rain. Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. Infrared Heating: The Details Infrared heating is very efficient, as it delivers its heat in a completely different way to a conventional radiator works. Actually, an infrared heater can actually help you to save 60% on your heating bills! By heating the objects in the room, rather than just the air around the room, an infrared heater can save energy. It fires infrared beams that bounce off of the objects in the room, leaving them warmed. A conventional heater, however, heats the air, which rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again, creating a convectional current. This can then promote dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots, which is why infrared heating is better for your health. Infrared heating is also very safe. It uses the same technology as your TV remote control, and the heat it provides is the same that the sun does. In fact, our own bodies produce infrared radiation, too. However, infrared heating does not produce any of the harmful ultraviolet radiation as the sun does. Simple, Speedy Installation Don’t worry about struggling to install these bar heaters. They’re a complete DIY task, with no additional help required at all. That’s no plumbers, electricians, or carpenters that are needed – just you, a drill, and a few minutes of your time. It’s only a one-person job, so you can have it done within a matter of minutes. It’s easy to do, and very straightforward. All you need to do is use your drill to make some holes in your wall. Then, simply screw the heater to your wall using the rear-mounted brackets. Next up, you just have to plug it into your wall. It’s completely plug-and-play compatible, so you don’t have to worry about any electrical work. The brackets are adjustable, so you can direct the heat to different angles. Please be aware that if the units are not cleaned regularly, a build-up of dust may appear. Find out more about how to maintain your heaters here!
