Armco Barrier Kit 1.9m Fitting Armco barrier around your property or equipment can be the difference between a minor repair cost to a vehicle, or an extensive repair cost to brickwork and equipment. Deciding to protect your property with Armco is an easy choice, however, working out how much of each component is needed can be a little harder. For this reason, we have put together an Armco kit , this comes with all the fixings, legs and end caps required to produce a 1.6m barrier. To keep things simple we have limited the options available to our most popular components. This takes all the stress out of working out how many legs, bolts and fixings you may need. Kit Options Explained End Finishings Yellow Cap - These are great for improving the vibrancy of the barrier and ensuring it is seen by pedestrians and vehicles. They are also very cost-effective. Fish Tail End - These are used to deflect the edge of the barrier away from the main flow of traffic. They are great for putting at the end of a barrier run where traffic may be turning a corner. If purchasing a fishtail end more fixings will be included in the kit. Leg Types Both leg options in this kit are z-section they are ideal for lighter duty applications and have a bit more flex in them. If you require a heavier duty I-beam barrier setup then give us a call to discuss your requirements. Cast in / Dig in - These are concreted into the ground using post-mix or a similar material. They are ideal for use when fitting the barrier into a soft substrate (such as grass) along the edge of a car park. Bolt Down - These are great for those who want to use the barrier on hard standing such as concrete, if fitting onto tarmac you will need to cast concrete footings for the posts to be secured to. The posts are fitted by drilling holes into the surface and bolting down the barrier. Dimensions and Component List The dimensions of the barrier will change depending on what options are selected. For Off Road Use Our Armco kit is designed for off road use only, this is fine for most of our customers who require the barrier system for use in a car park or warehouse. By offroad we mean not on the public highway. It is however absolutely suited to private roads, car parks and factory installations.
