20mph Sign Post Mountable Speed Limit Signs (Clips Not Included) 20mph speed limit signs are most commonly seen in residential areas where traffic speed needs to be decreased. They can also often be seen around schools and other areas where there is a large number of pedestrians such as shopping centres and town centres. 20mph zones are perfect for areas with large amounts of foot traffic as it keeps cars at a much safer speed. Our 20 mph road signs are part of our range of road legal signs, they are produced to the correct specifications as outlined in diagram 670 of the TRSGD guidelines, chapter3. Page 105 and onwards contains advice on the correct installationdetails for all speed limit signage. The sign features the number 20 in black text against a retro-reflective white background with a red surrounding ring. This contrasting combination makes the sign highly visible. These signs are often seen in combination with other traffic calming measures such as speed bumps and cushions. Repeater signs may be needed to remind drivers of the lower speed limit, these may also include painted road markings. R2,Class 2 Reflectivity R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic. Post Mountable Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face. Composite Substrate The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan. CE Marked This sign is supplied CE marked and is made from road grade materials, it has a long lifespan and will stand the test of time.
