“SoundID Reference is an amazing software, does definitely translate my mixes to sound true to most playback systems. Only thing I would change is auto enabling the safe headroom because it took me a while to realize it was on and was muting my overall output.”
“I use Sonarworks to correct the frequency response of my headset (I'm not wealthy enough to have monitors and a treated room).
It is amazing to realize how off they've been all this time and how easier it is to produce now I have the correction on. Basically, I get a sound that is much more even across listening devices where I had dramatic differences before.
This product is awesome!”
“This software is beautifully ready to setup/use and immediately makes my headphones more trustworthy for critical listening. I love the fact that - with a single click - I can swap between a flat profile and a custom profile for every pair of headphones I own. It's brilliant software and I honestly don't know how I ever mixed and mastered without it!!”
“I used Sonarworks Reference only with headphones so far. My headphones are Beyerdynamics DT-990 250 Ohm. These headphones have boosted frequencies around 100 Hz and in the midrange with an amplitude about 3 dB, while the high frequencies are boosted by more than 3 dB.
I use this plugin on the Stereo Out of my DAW (Cubase Elements) as the last insert in post-fader position. When I turn it on, it gives me a more realistic picture of the high frequencies (at least, this is what I perceive).
The plugin also allow to emulate different audio systems such as laptops and in-ear headphones. It is useful, although more often than not, I just export the mix and try it on other audio systems that I have.
The plugin works very stable, no problems at all. The only minor bug that I found is that when I disable the plugin and close Cubase, on the next load, the plugin is enabled by itself.”
