“It's a very useful plug-in to train the ears , especially for those like I ,who can't mix/master in open space and of course it's recommended to work at least with 2 different headphones that you know how they sound to have a deeper training.
In my opinion, will be useful to have a second final volume more close to the final master (12 lufs) not bypassing the plugin( for mastering).”
“Before going for SoundID reference, I had the Slate VSX system which was a disaster because their headphones were really cheap and poorly built. I had 4 pairs that broke and were replaced. Before the last replacement even arrived, I decided to sell it and go for something else.
After a quick search, I found that SoundID reference was the actual reference and I got the free trial and loved it. The difference between my DT770 and the corrected response is tremendous.
I also got myself a pair of DT990 and Sound ID reference lets me switch with a single click between both profiles, if I am tracking with my 770's or mixing with my 990's.
I'm very happy. This is an absolute must-have for anybody working with headphones.”
“This software is amazing! The built in VST let’s me put at the end of my master bus so that I’m always hearing my mixes in their pure state. I can also listen to what my mix would sound like in different environments so I can get an idea for how it will sound. Overall, this software has made my mixes cleaner and more accurate. The only thing I can wish for is a similar software to tune any mic to have a flat frequency response.”
