“Honestly, I am blown away by the software. I have the headphones version and my mixing, mastering and production have all improved thanks to Sonarworks. Appreciate it! :)”
“You can really notice the difference on the overall EQ of the headphones, and this is reflected on the quality of the Mix. I have noticed that my mixes are now more balanced than before using SoundID Reference.”
“I have been using SoundID on my mobile for maybe a couple years at this point, absolutely flawless experience. I love the fact it's made me re-love some of my older headphones (skullcandy crusher wireless) for example. With SoundID and these extremely bass heavy and completely understated mid range set of headphones, I prefer the sound signature over a stock pair of sony xm4's. You guys really started my audio addiction up until now, got me buying Dacs and Amps I don't have the proper headphones for quite as yet
However, there is a pretty major set back. I recently purchased the Desktop headphone SoundID reference and listen to TIDAL. I'm unaware if this is an issue with TIDAL or yourselves but the audio does not play after some songs. Skipping track, restarting the TIDAL app and the Reference app, playing through all kinda of libraries, nothing seems to work. Except turning the audio quality to the lowest, in which it works 100% of the time. TIDAL does believe it is playing at the higher resolution (as the playback time progresses as usual). If I change the audio output from system default to Reference in exclusive mode (Windows 11 Pro) it sometimes works for maybe one song. After a couple times this too does not work.
Really hope you guys can find out if this is a problem for TIDAL or Yourselves, but overall, fantastic work guys.”
“I had tested several competing solutions before finally finding the one. Among them was the well-known Waves NX, which I used with its Bluetooth "headtracking" device. While the immersion was excellent, the reliability of the corrections left something to be desired. When switching between headphones, even after selecting the appropriate profiles, the sound varied significantly. So, what can you trust in such cases?
Eventually, after hearing a lot of positive feedback about Sonarworks, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I adopted it immediately. The differences between corrected headphones are much less noticeable, which makes the workflow much more consistent and predictable.
The database of supported headphones is impressive, and the software itself is easy to use. A big bonus: the built-in simulations of devices like TVs, car stereos, or mobile phones allow for quick checks of how the mix translates on different systems.
In short, it’s a reliable, complete, and highly intuitive tool. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for serious calibration and a consistent experience across various headphones.”
