“I was recommended this aoftware by a highly reliable source. When I did an A/B test with / without Sonarworks there was a barely discernable difference but this is what I would have expected through my high-end bedroom producer set-up; all my components are already top-notch but I can't use monitors so I need the best headphones-monitoring set-up possible. That "barely discernable difference" really made all the difference for me to get a grip on my low-mids, where the muddiness was happening.
The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that every once in a while it doesn't load properly and the signal of a WAV file (not even loading a track through a mix bus, just playing music through the Apollo to my cans) sounds like there's a mighty side-chained compressor in the way or, worse, it's crackly like an old POTS phone. A sinple system restart fixes it, but this makes me a little uneasy about having this as my last element in the signal chain. Still I'm overall quite happy and I expect with future upgrades (as Howard Jones sang) "things can only get better"...”
“From my perspective it was easy to setup the sound how I want and then in general forget about the app as it do its work. The difference in some movies and tracks make completely different experience.
Switches between profile is easy. Probably I do not use all features, but getting it work is elementary.
Friend of mine on Mac haven't heard difference at the first install and only after reboot it start working. Probably that should be communicated more explicitly.”
