For lead vocals I felt it was not up to prime time. The reason is that there were processing errors where it sounded like certain syllables were sounding artificial and there was slurring over some words, eg my line was "Sing me that crazy love song" and the first three words were full of what sounded like synth arifacts, like a slurring. There were a few other instances of processing artifacts too. But I did like the fact that most of the same expressions I used were mimicked quite accurately. And for harmonies it's a good tool to mix up singers. I did notice that some of the results were noisy, like I don't know, background clicks maybe? Nothing that couldn't be cleaned up though.

I use Voice AI as the ultimate background vocal tool. You need girls to sing lyrical lines in your Chorus? Here's your answer. Need to replace your own vocal guide track? Voice AI to the rescue. And if your vocal recording is "leaky" or contains too much room sound, Voice AI replacement is pristine clean! Outstanding vocal quality. Great selection of voices with more on the way. These are just a few of the possibilities. And it's instantly downloadable! Voice AI has helped me creatively express what would otherwise be impossible. Highest recommendation

Ok I when I first looked at Voice AI i instantly dismissed it due to having to purchase tokens to use it, but when it was offered as a perpetual license using my own computer to do the processing I was immediately interested, good move for sonarworks. This a fine piece of software, simple but very effective, results can vary from excellent to not so favourable, you have to be prepared to put some some time in experimenting with the different voice algorithms, what you input into it can have a huge impact on the results you get. Placing the plugin at the beginning of the vocal chain before any effects is probably the wise thing to do, however you could put an EQ before it to do the usual low cut etc just to clean up the vocal a bit. The software couldn't be simpler you just click on capture and play the track and click stop when it has finished. You then just click process and away it goes and does its thing. You then play back the track listen to result and if your happy you can do further vocal processing as you would normally. As for any editing features you only really have transpose up or down, if you choose to transpose you have to reprocess it again. I love its simplicity and high quality results I'm glad there are no effects built in to it, let's face we've all have zillions of them don't we. This without a doubt is the best plugin of this kind I've heard. Sonarworks are a very high quality software developer , I use there Reference ID on a regular basis and it's class. I can only see this software getting better and better and Sonarworks will be the leaders in this field. I'm going to mainly use Voice AI to create female backing vocals from my somewhat deep male voice, I've already fooled a few people into thinking I hired a female singer.

As someone deeply involved in music as a musician and producer, I'm always on the lookout, for tools that match my sound preferences perfectly. I recently got to experiment with Sonarworks SoundID Voice AI software. It truly feels like the start of an exciting journey and perhaps something unimaginable, venturing into uncharted territory! I must say I was particularly wowed by the AI voice feature which is able to use algorithms to morph any recorded voice into one with a completely different tone and personality without any noticeable glitches that would go against my personal tastes. The end results are remarkably natural sounding. In reality when playing background music during a test no one was able to discern that the voice belonged to an AI system. I really enjoyed and loved one aspect – the capability to transform any audio into an instrument is just fantastic! It truly expands the horizons. Brings a fresh perspective, to music creation endeavors!. However, I have an idea that could elevate this tool to greater heights. It would be amazing to have the ability to choose many artist presets simultaneously to form a choir from one voice recording! Assignin different parts or scales, to each voice preset could contribute greatly to creating a full and melodious choir sound. Moreover, including an option to slightly adjust the tuning or timing of some voices would replicate the imperfections of a choir performance and enhance the depth and authenticity of the end result. Just imagine this- the ability to transform a voice into a choir where each voice can be personalized and directed to various destinations, for additional enhancement, what a tool it would be!!. This new addition could revolutionize the way musicians and producers work in the studio by providing them with enhanced freedom and productivity tools that are unmatched, in the industry. In my opinion as an artist who has used SoundID Voice AI extensively and found it to be incredibly beneficial overall; I strongly believe that integrating this choir feature would elevate it to a must have tool for professionals, in the music business. I really have faith in you guys. Keep on delivering, we have your back. Thank you.

VoiceAI is very cool and sounds great! It's fun to play around with the instrument models alone and the potential with added models adds even more value. But there's always room for improvement! The workflow is very much like Melodyne was before ARA2 and editing is somewhat painful and could be smoother. But when VoiceAI supports ARA2 and integrates better with Pro Tools it will definitely be 5/5. Real-Time VoiceAI would of course be the coolest thing of them all, but I guess we'll have to wait for better CPUs for that task :) Good work Sonarworks!

Excellent plugin! So cool for layering vocals or for sound design stuff! Try running it over instruments or turning vocals riffs into guitars etc. Well coded plugin, easy on the cpu, just an overall great experience.

What it does is nothing short of magical! Quite a lot of voices to choose from. Downside is that processing can take 2-3 minutes which makes trying voices quite a lengthy process. Also the auto transpose function which is on by default often picks an unsuitable octave - I need to remember to turn it off. A few glitches with some voices but that may be due to inaudible noises on the source vocal track or some artifacts created by preprocessing the source voice with Melodyne. But altogether quite an amazing piece of software for those of us who can't sing well or sing with a strong accent .

VoiceAI is great for experimentation and sound design. I enjoy using the more unusual instrument morphs to create unique mix elements. The vocal models offer a lot of variations and are especially useful for stacked background vocals.
