For $163.50 (including personalization), I expected the product I was shown online. Smythson’s response was to blame my screen settings and hide behind their no-returns policy for personalized items. The irony is that their own return policy exists because colors can vary from screen to screen — but that protection is conveniently stripped away the moment you personalize. So customers are expected to take a $163 gamble on a color they can’t verify in person. That’s not luxury service, that’s a loophole. Deeply disappointed and would not order from Smythson online again.”
