“I have used a Letts of London diary for decades and was disappointed this year to find they are now being made in China. So I looked for an alternative and found Smythson. I can't fault the product, but the blue paper is thin and my entries in blue ink are more difficult to read than on the cream-colored paper of the Letts. Also, the contents are aimed entirely at users in the United Kingdom, whereas the Letts is much more international in its design. So, with some regret, I will not be using the Smythson and going back to the Letts despite the fact that it is no longer made in England.”
