“At this price point, the notebook should feel meticulously handcrafted. Instead, the outer hinge appears to have been clamped so tightly during the process that the leather pattern is completely flattened, leaving a smooth, unattractive edge on both the front and back covers. It’s genuinely disappointing. Both the Raspberry and Nile Blue Panama notebooks show the same issue. The Nile Blue also has an additional defect where the cover was glued onto the end sheet unevenly, causing the front cover to be wider than the back.”
