“As a self confessed Barbour fan my opinion is likely to be biased. That said this wax cap is just the job. Fit is good and I got lucky ordering my normal hat size online without trying one first. Keeps the rain out and a nice deep cut so feels like it'll stay on in bad weather. Peak is slightly longer than my old cap but therefore offers more rain protection or sun shade whichever is going on. Main thing for me is the portablity as if folds and fits perfectly in (Barbour) jacket pocket. Never been too sure what the studded peak is about on flat caps but may have a use in extreme weather to pull right down over the ears or even turn cap upside down and use as a makeshift bucket! The peak when buttoned is not obvious at all and the cap gives the appearance of a stitched peak.”
