Believe the hype! This TV is excellent! It has everything you will need and the picture quality and surprisingly the sound are both superb. Setup is a breeze, but there’s one thing you need to note if you are setting the 65”+ versions up on your own. DO NOT cut the ties on the box until you have placed it on the table/TV stand it will be residing on! Once the ties are cut, when you lift the box it just slides off the TV. So instantly you regret cutting the ties. Once you are past all that you’ll need to setup the picture to get the best out of it. There are plenty of videos out there that claim to give you the best picture, but ultimately it’s up to you. I ended up with an hybrid of about 3 such videos. To set up the picture you simply insert a plain old Blu-ray. Then set the Picture Settings as you want them. Then repeat this after you have inserted an HDR10 Blu-ray and then once more for a Dolby Vision disc. Then that’s it. From then on the TV will switch to the appropriate settings depending on what your playing. Oh TV is the same settings as a standard Blu-ray. I’ve had it about a week now and I am thrilled with it. It’s expensive sure. But think about how many hours you’ll be sitting in front of it and it’s worth the cost!

After having a top-of-the-range Panasonic TX-65DX902B for 5 years and with the 5 warranty about to expire, I decided to replace it with what I considered one of the latest Televisions on the market. The Panasonic had served me well and had performed faultlessly throughout the period, so I wanted one that would give me at least another 5 years of good service. I looked at many written reviews as well viewing TVs on youtube over a matter of weeks and even sat in one vendor's sound/video room and considered that a good OLED was what a needed. Eventually, I narrowed it down to the very latest Sony Bravia XR65A90. At the time, Smart Home Sounds were the only shop/outlet that could supply it at short notice, so I ordered it late on a Friday. It arrived early on Tuesday and was fitted to my wall the next day. This later OLED TV is a revelation to watch. It would take too long to write a complete review here, but suffice to say even though it is expensive, it is one of the best I have viewed. It is particularly good when watching Standard Definition channels.
