Excellent and attractive starter streamer/dac. The manual lacks detail so setting up a laptop or suchlike as a server requires some figuring out in the WiiM app. Casting a standard music file from a W11 PC always fails for some unexplained reason. Perhaps a future update will address this. HDMI ARC is a welcome bonus for TV sound enhancement. Generally very pleased.

This is excellent. Very good for Radio X, which I couldn't receive on my old DAB tuner. This is much higher quality than the Sky box. I have presets for BBC and intune stations and also use it for Tidal. Again, I can't fault the quality. One review I saw recommended using the optical input to take the signal from a CD transport; i can't recommend this as my old Marantz 5005 sounds better through its own DAC. Also have to rate customer service highly. I ordered this the day before Black Friday, the price dropped the following day and Smart Home refunded the £70 difference under their price guarantee.

Product is very good quality, overall is well made and good for streaming. The one issue encountered that others have reported is the phono in from a turntable is incredibly sensitive to electromagnetic interference (EMI) . Which if you decide to use the Ethernet port input for streaming or you have Any data cabling nearby the be phono connection quality may compromised WiiM forum has a fair bit on this and unfortunately there is not a simple solution as everyone will have a different setup and to overcome it will be trial and error My work around was a separate preamplifier and connection to the line in input on the WiiM Ultra - not ideal but solved my EMI issue

I am very pleased indeed with the little WiiM Ultra. I am using it for music and for TV listening, both of which it performs amazingly well for. I have the player connected to my Lejonklou Tundra power amp via phono output. This feeds my Q Acoustics Concept 500 speakers. For the Ultra to perform well within this level of system shows just how accomplished it is.
