“After lots of research and attention to detail on replacing my 15 years old but excellent Yamaha Sound Bar, I landed on the Sonos Arc Ultra, which did not disappoint. Summary below: Design: Ultra slim, ultra sleek, fits perfectly under my 55 inch Sony TV. Audio Quality: Deep, powerful and broad sound quality, excellent clarity and bass definition Additional Features: Equaliser, loudness, speech clarity to tune up quality Connectivity: Excellent via HDMI Arc to TV as well as other Sonos speakers, integrates with TV remote Cost: At c.£900+ incl. the mount, expensive but worth it Overall: A sleek, high quality soundbar, highly versatile across home cinema + Sonos for music”

“I bought this to replace my separates 5.1 home cinema system and I was honestly skeptical that it would match up. At first, when watching standard TV channels the sound seemed tinny and not much different to the TV's built-in speakers, but when feeding the Arc Ultra with a good sound source such as Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Atmos it really came to life and I was pretty impressed with the bass output and clarity. I think my old home cinema receiver was very good at making standard Stereo PCM and Dolby Pro Logic input sound good and this is where I find the Arc Ultra is lacking in comparison. I will probably add some Era 100 or 300 surrounds at some point in time which hopefully will compensate. The Arc Ultra is very impressive when playing music from streaming services. I don't think a soundbar on its own can compete with a good 5.1 separates system but the Arc Ultra does give it a darn good try, and the physical space saving and lack of speaker cables is a massive benefit.”

“Great soundbar. Unfortunately, the first unit I received had a manufacturing fault, but Smart Home Sound handled the return smoothly and arranged a replacement very quickly. The new one arrived in no time. Excellent service overall—their price match is a big plus, and the extended warranty is great value. Highly recommended!”

“Installation was simple. Big sound out of a slim tube. Well engineered. Aesthetically would match any television. Full of surprising features and easy to use. Sonos has produced a true cinema sound experience.”
