“Very good picture, especially with BBC UHD ‘red button’ broadcast of live World Cup football (yes I have got a TV Licence). I haven’t had time to view either DVD’s on BlueRays. Disappointing picture with a lot of broadcast TV, even of the HD channels (101, 102, 103, 104 etc.). Definitely a much improved picture quality with my PS3. Very good picture with my Xbox Series X as well. Good size, upgrade on my previous 40” TV. Various picture modes available. It defaults to Auto Power Save which seems alright for much of my viewing. Essentially from my experience so far, if the source of the picture is of good quality it will be good on this TV. If the source is not so good, this will also be the case on the TV. The remote is not bad. Nothing special but it hasn’t got a subtitles or aspect ration button, which my previous TV remote had. It also has a very irritating pointer thing, which can be troublesome to use. Thankfully it can be temporarily got rid of by pressing any of the directional arrow buttons. Another irritation is that the Return button is in a different place to where it is on every other TV remote I have used. Why LG have to be unhelpfully different to everyone else I do not know. Concerned about the thinness of the top half of the TV. It is very thin and I am concerned about fragility, particularly when I will want to put it back into the original box (which I am keeping) as I am likely to be moving home. I would have to hold it by the upper corners to lower it into the box, and pictures on the box indicate that the TV should not be held by the upper corners. Any advice on this please? Also concerned about whether I can watch anything, including DVD’s in 4:3 aspect ration, with black bands at the side of the picture. I wasn’t aware that there are issues around things like this on OLED TV’s before I bought it. I have a set of treasured Laurel and Hardy DVD’s all in 4:3. They don’t look right stretched to fit the screen. The instructions to assemble the TV onto the stand were, as usual these days, bloody AWFUL! The last TV I bought - ten years ago or so by now - had an actual booklet, with actual writing in it! And diagrams. It was really good. No manual of any kind at all now. Loses a star for this as I find this extremely unhelpful - this was a really expensive item and there is no excuse not to include a proper manual! Overall, despite some of my comments here, this is a really good TV. I researched quite a lot before I decided on it.”

“Superb picture quality, although a printed user guide would have useful for initial set up rather than having to search for it once the TV was up and running! Excellent service and delivery from smart Home Sounds and a very competitive price.”
