“Great sounding speaker. Bass is strong. Will fill a living room, but it’s not a surround sound speaker unless joined with other JBLs with the party box button. App allows basic graphic equaliser. No 3.5mm jack, only Bluetooth connectivity. Would recommend as a great sounding portable speaker.”

“A good sounding, practical, portable speaker for on the go. JBL speakers always tend to venture on the more fun side of things versus the accuracy of reproduction but I feel it does a good job of both. The bass is nice and those passive radiators do their job. I've used this on a few outdoor occasions so far. Sound is directed so you must position the speaker correctly so that everyone is captured in its range (it has a healthy range). This means it's not good for large spaces or places where you can't position the speaker in one corner. The sound is good enough though that 2 of my friends are now convinced to get one for themselves! The charging capability is quite rubbish though - very slow and so not really practical. Overall though, it is well sized for the sound it produces. The JBL Xtreme might be more suitable if you want to use it outdoors to cover larger areas though.”

“Bought the Charge 5 after watching the Smart Home Sounds excellent YouTube review. Brilliant product, good bass, very portable and very happy with it! Excellent service and delivery from Smart Home Sounds too and nice to be able to support a brick-and-mortar business instead of Amazon all the time.”

“I am very impressed. Very good quality of sound. Sounds bad only if the recording of the song is poor. A little heavy. I am glad that I didn't buy a bigger one because there is enough sound.”
