“I’m fortunate to have few Sonos products now and therefore I had a mix of thoughts when I bought the Roam. I was worried that the size affect the soundscape? To my ears the Roam sounds like you are standing 5 meters away from a bigger set of speakers….let me explain…. In order make up for the Roams speaker and driver sizes it sounds like it is using some wizardry to make it sound bigger than it actually is! Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad thing, it’s just an odd thing for your brain, rather than your ears, to adjust to. I bought the Roam specifically for use between the bathroom and the bedroom in the morning and at night. Being light, wireless and water resistant means I don’t have to worry about steam or zapping myself too much. The built in Alexa also pushes my rating of the Roam into orbit. A remarkable speaker that is punching well above its size. 11 out of 10!!”
