“I didn’t think that I’d be able-to afford-to purchase a Rega turntable, but the Smart Home Sounds price was so astonishingly competitive; it was far too good to dismiss. I could have purchased elsewhere, but most wouldn’t have attracted the ‘Rega limited lifetime warranty’ as my Smart Home Sounds order duly did; so, how could I resist? A perfectly packaged parcel was placed in my hands no later than the following day. And I will say that there have been very few joys in life that could have surpassed my delight in quite the same way. At the precise moment when I dropped the needle on to a new-era of ‘natural’ vinyl sound, as the first nostalgic track began-to play. And, what I’ve lost in vision, I’ve gained in sound; but in this instance, I’ve not lost sight of never craving all of this audiophile perfection that’s become so unnecessarily absurd. As there’s no such thing; it’s more about how the perfectly imperfect Planar production turntables translate the vinyl language as only they were ‘intended’ to be heard. It took a blended mixture of vintage amplifiers, some original Rega Kyte and modern-day speakers to rekindle this far more ‘natural over perfection’ Rega Planar vinyl sound that I always used-to know. Both Rega and Smart Home Sounds have given me an affordable opportunity to be instantaneously transported back-to that musical memory show; and this modern Rega Planar turntable now sounds the same as my late father’s 1978 RP3 did, all of those decades ago.”

“First turntable purchase in many decades and I’m very happy with it. Easy set up (thanks to YouTube, no documentation/instructions provided) The turntable mat is slightly buckled but goes flat when a vinyl album is on. Would have been an 5 star rating but for the above. All works perfectly., though and a great sound!”
