As Slim admit it's built to a price point, fills in a gap. I happened to have researched this area for 3 long weeks. I know more than l wish to, but l hate wasting money. Yes you can get cheaper. However it's a 5inch to 7inch grinder retro fitted to do the job. Often has the words "and Sander" added. The weight is very high, first speed is over 2400rpm, soft start will not be found anywhere. The most impressive modern part is the D handle. These are basically 30yr old model grinders with a party trick, and working with one on my paint work is a big NO! Don't get me wrong, buffing and sanding wood, adding on accessories for a workshop with a speed reduction. Fill your boots. Next is the drill kit's, amazon has over 50, that's also a flat NO! Well if you care about the clear coat, keeping the car, that is. Both of these come with comfort, control, and noise issues. Plus the random dual action, barely works, add on cheap pads... Well you can get yourself into a big mess fast. Slims dual action is heavy, dose not have a pleasant motor sound at all. But this is were your money wasn't spent. You have a robust old style machine of 20yrs ago... But you are given the very important soft start, nice low speed controler, and a long 6 meter cable. The dual action does move 8mm, but need to be at 2.5 to dance like it means it. The front handle is only useful without the D handle on, l found it to small and uncomfortable. Put the D handle on, locked forward one notch gives you a better grip, perfect balance and reduces the weight considerably, while increasing mobility. The rubber grip works well, though l suggest you clean it every time you put it away, or that friction could be lost for a very long time. Some moan about the speed controller being at the back. It's a none issue. You want that function to save mere 10 seconds, then you pay for it, to heavy... You got it, you pay. Formula one, says to reduce a second they spend 3 million, everything has a cost. Slim says this is for the old fart who wants to get the car done to a standard they can't achieve anymore by hand. Once or twice a year. This old fart, who scared himself getting out of a chair, because of a haunting moan in an empty house... Agree's l can't use my hands as l use to, more etc, get added every year. It can be used in the home, shed, and on the car... Different add ons allows flexibility. This reduces the cost, and adds another tool to the household. The bag is a great gift, for keeping pads clean and in zip lock bags. The polishers fits in with cable and D handles in. Brushs and spanner. I bought a 3",5", backing plates to give me flexibility. NAME brand of 6 foam pads, the company also Makes dual action and accessories. Plus 6 good review pads. Wool felt 3"pads for headlight restoration. Slims said the pads can make the machine... They aren't wrong there. Choose well. Would l want to use it daily? No. To heavy and that sound is just wrong and unpleasant. If l'm starting out should l buy this? No, you will spend hours a day on this machine, it will break you first. Look after your hands is always number one. Buy second hand if you have to and don't get to bothered by battery power, they aren't worth the cost for the tiny bit of comfort. Plus you often give up flexibility of additional accessories.

Very good for the price, it is the lower 600w model but will correct well with decent polish and pads, currently using Koch chemie compound and pads and is doing a great job on a black Honda
