Love this thing. If you don’t have a pressure washer and foam cannon or access to electricity where you detail, this foam gun puts out some lovely suds from your garden hose. One thing to note is that if you have a hozelock style connection on your garden hose, you will need to buy an adaptor like this one (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0002GV0OM/ref=psdcmw_1938850031_t1_B071HV5XV8) as well as a rubber washer as the foam gun only has a screw thread attachment.

I usually use a snow foam lance with my pressure washer but there are times when I just want to work quickly to knock off the road grime and can't be bothered to set up the pressure washer. This foam gun attaches directly to the hosepipe and, while it understandably does not produce the same level of foam as the pressure washer, I was amazed by how much foam it does actually produce. To be honest, after leaving the snow foam to 'dwell' for ten minutes or so, the net result is almost the same as with a pressure washer - dirt flows off the car and leaves it ready for a two-bucket wash. It comes with three tips that change the amount of liquid extracted from the canister depending upon the water pressure; but I find that I get better results using the gun without the tips, since I'm always very happy to see the car covered in foam. The build quality is excellent and I expect the R1 gun to last a long time. It took me quite a while to buy one, since I wondered if I would just be wasting my money on yet another unused gadget, but I would hate to be without my TORQ gun now; it is VERY useful.
