“Brilliant idea from CG who are my current favourite manufacturers. Standard grit guards in theory can allow the grit to get back up into your main bucket area due to swirling, whereas the mini funnel shapes in the Cyclone dirt traps make it much harder for grit to get back above the top of the trap and into the water you dip your mitt into. I've used these now for around two or three months, one per each of my three buckets and I've not seen huge amounts of grit under the trap. I'm not saying that as a negative as I think I'm just OCD on the "weekly" wash so my car never really gets that dirty. I've seen double stacking of grit guards used by some top professionals, so I'm thiking a normal grit guard at the bottom with a cyclone trap stacked on top is the way to go. Then again, I'm not detailing million dollar plus cars - just my own presently and the bottoms of my wheel and rinse buckets are defijnitely dirtier than my wash bucket so these are doing the trick just fine.”

“Yes looks good, but it does not fit a normal car wash bucket. You have to purchase the Chem guys bucket, if I had known this I would have purchased the correct bucket at the time and saved postage.”

“Better fit than the standard grit guards.(when used in the CG bucket) need to use a few more times before I can say how much grit collects below the top surface.”
