I purchased the 100ml size bottle which is quite small, and the question is whether this is worth the money for the quality and quantity of product you get. I have to say, the quality is good. You don't get an excellent amount of water repellency with this product but it does prevent staining and it also prevents dirt setting into the fabric. The trick is to spray a light coating over the entire surface you are treating and allow it time to dry down naturally. This can take some time but if you rush it, it wont work as well. I gave this 4 stars as I do think the price is a high. You can find alternative products for cheeper, for example a household carpet protector may do the same job and will be half the price. I dont mind the smell and I also do feel better knowing that dirty shoes wont cause serious staining to the carpets when this product has been used.

100mL is not anywhere near enough to properly coat the carpets of a car and the mats. I have leather seats so I didn't need to do anything else besides that. I sprayed evenly and fairly close to maximise the product and coverage along with rubbing the product in well, but even then it ran out. I didn't even get to do the boot. Repellency wise it did nothing significant. Water still soaks and the beading is nothing like what you see on youtube. I would think you would have to use a 100mL bottle per three quarters of a square metre of fabric to get the repellecy characteristic of beading and to cover the fibres to the extent where it soaks in well. It's far to expensive for the same effect as 3M Scotchguard which is significantly cheaper as an aerosol.

Easy to use, helps keeps my mats and seats clean. I actually have spilt my coffee a few days after applying and it made it so much easier to clean up. The only down side is the chemical smell that lasts a few days after applying.

The idea behind this product is an excellent one, and ticked my criteria of being easy to apply as it comes in a spray bottle container even in the small size. A couple of things to bear in mind - the smell is very petrol like - so spray in a well ventilated area. Second piece of advice - wear a pair of gloves to protect your hands, (see elsewhere on Slim's for some great ones). A particular gripe I had with my bottle, the spray mechanism seemed to fail partially so that I had to wrap fingers around the friont and back of the trigger for it to reset. Also as part of that failure the product dripped from the spray head so wearing gloves became doubly important. I'm currently in the 24 hour drying period, but from the demonstration video on the product page I believe the protection will be excellent which is the main point. I just hope the smell goes as well - or I'll be using loads of Slim's free air fresheners ...
