“It was a great stay. I appreciate we are in covid measures but the property could do with a folder with FAQs such as how to operate the heating, local gp, pharmacy etc ( we had a medical emergency during our stay and had to take one family member to hospital- all ok though). There were some bits and bobs the kitchen could do with- pizza trays/slices, potato ricer/masher and the dishwashers kept failing. Also some items like the nespresso machine weren’t there (but the pods were!). The owner was great and quickly responded to the faulty items. It was an amazing break, would love to go back again!”

“Wow wow wow! I’ve just come back from a 2 night stay at Ortus House and I already want to return. Mike, the owner, is so welcoming, friendly and helpful, so from the second we entered the property, we felt instantly comfortable. The property itself is insane! Every room is immaculate and the pools and hot tub just make this place even more special. All the little touches didn’t go unnoticed either. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for giving us memories that will last forever!”

“Just a few minor items which would have expected to have been attended to. Acknowledge that it is difficult to carry out maintenance in between lettings if you are not informed by the departing guests. Extractor fan in first bedroom on the left at top of stairs on first floor was not operating, and toilet seat broken. Former may not have been detected by cleaning staff but would expect the latter to have been. Some of the toilet seats were obviously clean but due probably to age were discoloured underneath which is not a pleasant appearance. Having said that our stay was at Ortus House was fabulous and all our party enjoyed themselves. We plan to come again.”

“The greatest enjoyment was being in Ortus House. Everything was wonderful and we were rarely out of the inside and outside pools and the hot tub. The owner, Mike was extremely helpful and welcoming. A really lovely week in a beautiful house and garden.”
