“My cold sore attacks are infrequent and unpredictable but always large and painful and they last at least two weeks. I always keep cover up patches in my bag just in case.
I decided to try liquorice balm and have been using it for 3 months. Applying it frequently is no problem as it is a lovely and effective lip balm. Last week I felt the dreaded tingle that signals a cold sore was about to erupt. For the first time EVER the sore did not turn into a huge blister, nor was it painful. It stayed very small and within 4 days had gone. No one even noticed I had a cold sore and I didn’t need to use a patch. Amazing! Am just ordering some more.”
“I can only qualify my experience. I believe I am experiencing fewer episodes, but what I do perceive is a very large effect on emerging blisters. From the moment I apply the lip balm, the blisters stop growing in size and rapidly begin to shrink. Within days my lip recovers, without any breaking of the skin and all the viral shedding (the weeping gross part). I used to always get several blisters at once, now I suffer just one. I can continue to eat. This has been better than taking antiviral medication for my symptoms and at far lower risk. I have now ordered some for my mother. “I have just reordered this. I was getting constant cold sores once every 2 weeks which were really painful and lasted 10 days. Since using this product I have had one very small one in 4 months that healed over in a couple of days. I use this everyday and wouldn’t be without it. I’m goi g to try the gel this time too. “I have suffered from cold sores for 40+ years now. Nothing has worked to date. I ordered my first batch of the balm and gel back in the later part of October 2018. My order arrived just as a cold sore had started, unfortunately neither the gel nor the balm stopped it, but reduced its intensity immediately, I was impressed.
Since that day, I use the balm every day, night, etc. Unfortunately now I’ve had an extremely bad outbreak of sores due to being really ill.
