This is excellent day cream with the added bonus of sun protection. A little goes a long way and I find it keeps my skin supple all day.

I'm 44 and have suffered with rosacea for a number of years. The redness is not as bad as some other rosacea sufferers I have read about (I have permanent, but I suppose fairly mild, redness on my nose, cheeks and chin), but I do suffer from embarrassing flare-ups that can turn my whole face red in an instant. Having read lots of positive reviews about the Kalme Day Defence Cream, I decided to splash out and give it a try (£27 for a 50ml bottle is the most I've ever spent on a treatment). I have been using it for four months. The main positive I experienced while using the Cream was that the number of flare-ups significantly reduced. Since the Cream includes a high SPF, it makes sense that I would have less flare-ups from the sun/heat. I have also significantly cut back on my alcohol intake over the last month which has had a significant impact too. (My main triggers are sun/heat, alcohol and spicy foods.) For me, the disadvantages have outweighed any benefit. I find the cream very thick/heavy, so it is difficult to rub in, and it leaves me with a shiny face that returns even after I've blotched it away. It also dries my skin out. I had read that this was to be expected and to persevere, but after four months of use I still have days where my chin/around my mouth is flaking (I use hyaluronic acid and have never experienced this flaking before). What the Kalme Day Defence Cream has taught me is that I need to wear sunscreen every day, regardless of how hot it is outside. I have therefore switched to an oil-free gel sunscreen, which protects me from flare-ups from the sun and doesn't make my face shiny!

I've finally found a moisturiser with sun protection in it that my super sensitive facial skin can tolerate so I'm very pleased. Even so I can't put it too near my eyes, either underneath on my lids as I found out when I tried this! Despite this, I'm very pleased with it and will continue to use it.

I like this cream because of the moisturising properties and also because it has SPF in it so I know that I'm protected against sun damage. I find it's easiest to apply it with a few drops of the serum added in. My skin has definitely improved using this product.

I developed Rosacea about 3 years ago and have been looking for a cream with sun protection ever since. As my facial skin is so sensitive this has been tricky. KALME Daily Defence Cream works well, although even this cream I can't put anywhere near my eyes so wear sunglasses most of the time when outside to protect them. (My face won't tolerate most sun creams so the fact that this lovely cream both protects it from the sun and moisturises it as well is definitely a win/win!

I have tried many moisturisers and they all caused a flare up from my rosacea or would cause my face to sting. The skin shop moisturiser is light. Easy to apply and has a smooth effect on my skin. Over time, I have noticed my skin is calmer thanks to this product.
